Our client is a specialized provider of secure digital services and solutions for mid to large-sized businesses. Their business works as a "one-stop-shop” for tailored digital solution providers with an interactive promotional program designed to boost the company's digital presence. The client’s business basically helps global brands & agencies to acquire, engage and retain customers through hyperactive brand building and effective delivery solutions.
The world is unpredictable and so accidents and disasters can happen to anybody, anytime. For such uncertainties, a person or an organization is not necessarily prepared or adequately insured which can leave the relevant stakeholders in financial ruin. Our client had a standalone portal for each insurance product they develop. But with multiple products onboard, it was challenging for the client to maintain and manage all the products individually. Thus, the client was looking for an all-inclusive insurance management suite specifically customized and configured as per their products and their different client-specific business needs.
Enlisted are the challenges faced by the client:
- A comprehensive interface that can be leveraged by any insurance companies
- A unified insurance product suite that can be Configured for products like Event cancellation, Event Liability, Wedding Insurance by the insurance companies
- A portal that can be customized based on insurance companies needs
- Manage and address all the aspects of the event insurance starting from the proposal to proposal verification, rating, quotation, bound risk management, premium settlement, etc. and basically manages the lifecycle of quoting, approving, settling, and ongoing management
- Should be flexible and configurable enough to achieve onboarding of the customers on the platform
In order to cater to these unique business needs, the client decided to develop a web-based portal that can be used by insurance service providers for streamlining and simplifying their daily operations. This platform should be highly efficient and user-friendly for facilitating multiple users such as agents, brokers, client’s employees and customers. Client Management:
An interface for the admin of the platform to define the clients/insurance provider companies who are the actual users of the proposed application. Their rights into the application include
- Managing Customer onboarding and Branding
- Managing Rating Matrices, Calculation and Insurance Product authorization
User Management:
An interface for the insurance service provider companies who would also be potential users of this application. Their prevailed rights to the application includes
- Defining and managing users within the organization for relevant access to different roles and permissions
- Roles can include Agents, Underwriter, Accounts, Finance, Manager, Claims Adjuster, etc.
Product Management:
An interface for the insurance service companies to deal with onboarding and maintenance of an Insurance Product like Event cancellation lite/full, Event Liability, Wedding event, etc. on the proposed platform. Insurance provider companies basically manage all their products from this interface
- Define product types, categories, Global configurations for a product, language settings for a product
- Manage rules, rates, and matrices related to the defined product
- Manage premium and commission details for the defined product
- Manage knowledge center that provides the necessary information on a product
Rating Management:
An interface for the insurance provider company users to manage the rules and calculations for determining pricing, rate and premium on a quote/risk. It also includes the rules that route proposal to special acceptance underwriting

Workflow management:
An interface for the insurance provider company to manage the Risk lifecycle from Proposal generation to Risk Binding to premium settlement.

- Manage Risks, Amendments, Cancellation, Documents of the Insurance proposal
- Manage Claims, premium settlement, and notification of the proposal
Site Management:
This portion of the interface deals with the required features for the maintenance of the site such as Audit logs, dashboards, reports, documents, etc.
Multi-lingual support for the entire application
